You can join SCI or renew your membership by postal mail or online using PayPal®.

Online

We use Paypal® to process SCI membership fees. Simply select the appropriate “Buy Now” button below to begin secure credit/debit card processing via Paypal®. When using Paypal® you do not need to download or submit an SCI application form. Please note that a $2 service charge will apply when using this option.

You do not need to have an existing Paypal® account; you can pay immediately via credit/debit card without one. If you experience any difficulties, please contact secretary@societyofcomposers.org.

Important Notes about Joining Online

• Our membership application/renewal process is not fully automated. Once payment has been completed via PayPal®, a member of our National Office reviews all applications, processes payments, and creates/updates mySCI accounts within our database. This typically takes at least two (2) to five (5) business days to complete, depending upon the volume of applications being processed by our office. If you are joining for the first time, you will receive your mySCI logon information when this process is completed. If you have any questions about your membership status, please contact secretary@societyofcomposers.org.
• If you wish to use a different email address for SCI than you are using for Paypal®, please contact secretary@societyofcomposers.org.
• If you wish to use a different postal address for SCI than you are using for Paypal®, please contact secretary@societyofcomposers.org.
• Student Chapter Members: Please indicate the student chapter name and university with which you are affiliated via the dropdown menu provided on this page before you click the “Buy Now” button.

By Mail

To join or renew by postal mail, download the SCI Membership Form, complete the form, and enclose a check or money order for the correct amount. Use the membership form if you are joining SCI for yourself or for an institution. You may also use this form if you are renewing a current membership, although a form is unnecessary if your contact information remains the same.
